At 9 o’clock, August 23, 2018, the Forum of the Sino-ROK Economic and Trade and the People-to-People Cooperation at the Local Level in the Framework of the B & R Initiative is opened in Shenyang Shangrila Hotel co-sponsored by Liaoning Foreign Affairs Office, the ROK-China Cultural and Friendship Association, the ROK Research Institute of the B & R Initiative. 

　　The forum is chaired by Mr. GAO Aihua, Deputy Director General of Liaoning Foreign Affairs Office, in which a batch number of distinguished guests delivered addresses, including Mr. YING Zhongyuan, Mr. LEE Chungde, Doputy Council General of the ROK Consulate to Shenyang, and MS. Qu Huan. As many as more than 90 representatives have attended the forum from Liaoning Foreign Affairs Office, Liaoning Provincial department of Culture, Liaoning Provincial Bureau of Tourism, Liaoning Provincial Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the Administrative Committee of Shenfu New District, Liaoning Academy of Social Sciences, Ahenyang, Yingkou, Tieling, Panjin, the Liaoning Provincial Association of China-ROK Friendship, Jilin Foreign Affairs Office, Heilongjiang Foreign Affairs Office, the representatives from Zunyi, Guizhou Province and the concerned business represetnatives from the city, the ROK-China Cultural and Friendship Association, the ROK Research Institute of the B & R Initiative as well as the ROK Sodality of Friends of Liaoning, including the representatives from the academia and business of ROK. 

　　At the session of the forum, the key note speeches have been respectively made by Mr. Choi Won Sik, former Member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea (ROK), and the Honorary President of the ROK Sodality of Friends of Liaoning, Mr. ZHANG Dongming, President of the Institute of the Northeast Asian Research under Liaoning University, Professor WU Daiyuan from the Department of Globalized Commerce of Postgraduate College under ROK Jionggee University and Mr. LI Min, Vice President of Dalian University of Foreign Languages, whose speeches are: 1. “the Program for Further Promoting the Cultural and Economic Cooperation between ROK and China”, “ the Significance and the Developing Orientation of China’s One Belt and One Road Initiative”, “the Possibility of the International Cooperation of the New Northern Policies of the Korean Peninsula and One Belt and One Road Initiative” and “ On the Key Role of the Institutions of Higher Learning”. Finally, Mr. Choi Jae Cheon，former Member of the National Assembly of ROK, Chairman of the ROK Research Institute of the B & R Initiative, and President of ROK Sodality of Friends of Liaoning delivered a special speech from the perspective of a Korean entitled “ B & R and Liaoning”, and he answered questions from the audience.
